You either have it or you don’t, and Helena Bohman Carter definitively has it. Her presence in the screen in undeniable. You can’t take your eyes off her. She commands attention and you are captivated by her talent!

We’d bet you not to laugh at her incredible interpretation of the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. An already  memorable character, Helena’s facial quirks and potent voice shouting: Off with her head! made her unforgettable.

We’d bet you not to be scare of Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter. If she was a magnificent partner to Voldemort in the book pages, Helena’s interpretation gave her a face and a voice that makes you quiver.

We’d bet you not to cry watching her in the Wings of the Dove. You are supposed to hate her Machiavellian ways, but Helena’s portrait of Kate Croy is more complex than that. In the end, you feel sad for her character, a conclusion even more real than the intended by the novel’s author.

We’d bet you not to adore her innocent portrayal of virginal Lucy Honeychurch in A Room with a View. Falling in love with a city and with a handsome, tall and unconventional man has never been so charming than thru Helena’s eyes.
