CHOO CHOO ! All aboard the Polar Express!! Mark your calendars and join the many families making the trip to the North Pole! 


Did you know know you can fully immerse yourself in one of your favorite children's books? No? Well here's your chance. This train ride is a special chance to relive the magic of the classic Christmas book and have the experience of a lifetime with your family. The classic children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg comes to life on a journey  to the enchanted beauty of “the North Pole”—where Santa Claus and his reindeer are waiting with a keepsake present for every good boy and girl.

The Polar Express Train Ride departs from St. Louis Union Station for a 45 minutes adventure to the North Pole filled with magic, songs, and cheer.

Passengers are encouraged to wear their pajamas on the train ride of course!  

Coach tickets start at $39 which includes A souvenir Golden Ticket, Hot Chocolate, Cookies and the first gift of Christmas from Santa. First-class tickets start at $59 and include Tabletop seating, a souvenir Golden Ticket, Hot Chocolate in a Polar Express Souvenir Mug, Cookies and the first gift of Christmas from Santa.

During the ride, chef characters will serve hot chocolate and cookies to all passengers on board the trains. Chefs will lead passengers in singing Christmas carols on the way back to St. Louis Union Station. On top of that, Santa Claus and his elves will board the train at the North Pole and will interact with the children on the return trip to St. Louis Union Station. Everyone receives the first gift of Christmas, a silver sleigh bell, from Santa Claus during the train ride.

Trains begin on Friday, November 16, 2018 and continue on through December 30, 2018. Also Christmas Eve December 24, 2018. The trains are real, full-sized train cars, which depart St. Louis Union Station for “The North Pole.” 

Trains depart St. Louis Union Station at 4:30PM, 6:00PM 7:15PM and 8:30PM. Passengers are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before their scheduled departure time and the Depot opens an hour and a half before departure time.
