Book Club Features An Impressive A-List Cast

Remember when not long ago every woman in America was reading Fifty Shades of Grey to the bafflement not only of the publishing world but the media in general? Why was this erotic romance book caught up women's imagination and was being added to every book club list? Were all these women bored housewives who were looking to spruce up their marital bed?

Well, now we might have the answer.  Bill Holderman’s upcoming comedy Book Club will try to explain Fifty Shades of Grey's phenomenon.

Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen’s characters are four lifelong friends in their 60s who read Fifty Shades of Grey in their monthly book club and have their lives forever changed.

For these successful and intelligent women, this is not the type of book that they typically read, but as they soon find out, inspiration can come in the most unlikely of places.

"The best part about Book Club isn't that the synopsis had to specify that these four women are "intelligent," it's the cast who's going to portray them — the crème de la crème of Hollywood's senior actresses. Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen, and Candice Bergen will give Book Club some real entertainment potential and an A+ as far as female casts go", entertainment writer Elise Jost happily reports.

Don JohnsonCraig T. NelsonRichard Dreyfuss, Ed Begley Jr., and Wallace Shawn have joined previously announced Andy Garcia. The fellas as set to play the love interests. The pic is currently in pre-production.

Did you read Fifty Shades of Grey? If not, maybe is time to recommend it to your book club... Who knows how will it change your life (wink).
